Where I’m From
By Caitlin Connor
I’m from Lincoln logs
And playdoh
From candy land
To Chutes & Ladders
I am from the Power Puff Girls
And Teletubbies
From my parents couting down from 5
To being grounded when they got to 0
I’m from sketchers
And Garfield band-aids
From the ice cream man’s truck
And the song it would play
I’m the ripe apple from the tree
Waiting to be picked.

ReplyDeleteThis poem is very unique. I like how it shows your younger ages up to now. Its really cool how you made it an analogy kind of. :)
